Nutritional Therapy

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutrition and health science to enable individuals to maximize their health potential, using fresh, whole, unprocessed and nutritious foods to help prevent nutritional deficiencies, resolve food intolerances and improve digestion. Each person is an individual who has unique dietary and nutritional requirements. Our goal is to empower each person with the tools to achieve and maintain good health, without stress.

How Does Nutritional Therapy Work?

The latest catch phrase in nutrition is 'we are what we eat'. It is more accurate to say 'we are what we absorb'. Our body is constantly working to achieve optimal function - it produces energy, makes hormones, maintains blood pressure, repairs damage from injury or age, and protects us from illness. The body cannot perform these activities without fuel, in the form of vitamins and minerals. They are the building blocks of many processes in the body. As the body cannot make these things from thin air, it must acquire what it needs from food. Eating foods rich in vitamins and minerals is a good start, but if they are not being absorbed properly, optimal health is compromised. Nutritional Therapy aims to improve digestion, absorption and assimilation, ensuring that your body gets the maximum benefit from the food you eat.
